we are inundated with tiny snails on bushes and trees which seem to have the life zapped out of them by these pesky snails!How can I get rid of them with out the use of pesticides please help!!! Tallulah

Go out on a drizzly night with a torch, pick them off, drop them on the ground and stomp on them. Needs to be repeated often to control them.
Slugs can be controlled with nematodes - you water in a concoction with them in, but it is less effective on snails and fairly expensive.
You can get "organic" slug pellets that contain ferric phosphate.
