I have some lovely aubretia tumbling down a wall. I read that one should cut aubretia back fairly severly after flowering. If I do cut them back will they grow back to the same size next season?

Prune or don't as Spritz says if you don't they 'can' get straggly but we rarely bother.

I use shears on mine - I just give the top growth a light hair-cut! Yes, they do grow back happily. If you don't cut them, they can get a bit straggly, I find.
