Did your crinodendron suffer a long period of frozen ground? We've had to cut ours down to the ground due to the severe winter. You can check for life by snipping tiny bits off the twigs to see if there is life and scraping a little of the bark away looking for green underneath. Sadly I think your too have a dead crinodendron.
