I've just bought this dark purple foliage plant . I understand that it's the same family as morning glory but no flowers. Is it hardy? and how to propogate it please.

It's fairly easy to propagate from stems left in water to root.

will try stems in water and I've also pulled a new leaf from a joint at the base to see which works best

Just to let you know that leaf stems in water rooted easily but so did a leaf joint pulled from base. Will probably bring them into house over winter rather then cool greenhouse which last winter here in NE of England fell to freezing inspite of bubble wrap insulation.
