Am I sad? My husband thinks I'm sad as I have named the 26 fish in my pond, and I know each of thier names. They are easy to identify eg "Spot" has a small black spot between its eyes. Snowy is all white. Shadow is all black, etc etc non of the fish are identical. Does anybody else name thier fish?

I have names for about 10 but that is partly because of the girls. but with 50+ and some so similar it would be impossible. So not sad at all.

That's not sad Kfunsters, but how do you remember all their names?...:o)

No! not sad at all, I should think you are much happier for observing and enjoying the fish. We have about a dozen tadpoles "on holiday" from the pond in a tank in the kitchen for a short while so that we can watch them grow. We've named the biggest one "Gene Hunt".

I named mine when I had them back in Britain. I had a lovely Sarassa Comet with a white patch on his head - 'Skinhead' - sadly ended his life as a heron's breakfast! Then I had four Orfe ..... what could they be named but (sorry guys) 'P', 'F', 'B***er' and 'S**.'

good one nariz this has made me laugh so much my colleagues are just staring at me.

The way I remember them is, when I bought them I made sure that I could tell them apart, quite amusing really having the young man catching specific fish from 100's and me being rather fussy (no husband or teenage daughter in sight by this time).
The fish don't have fancy names, names that match their markings. Eg "Jap" is all white with a large dark orange spot so it looks like the japanese flag.
Thankyou folks I'm feeling sane again.
