Can anybody tell me what is likely to have dug up a whole small rose bush (see photo). Thanks

Left, that is it lying next to hole. I have since found smaller holes half exposing the roots of a jasmine plant and near other small rose bushes but nothing as bad as this.

Do you have dogs or are there any foxes around? Although having said that, can't imagine why a fox would uproot it. Sorry I'm not sure. Hope one of our "experts" can be more helpful.

It's a super round hole! Jack Russell terrier? Prank-playing kids?

The plant has no visable roots? So I think this has just been pulled out of the hole you planted into? Could it have been caught as an animal or even a human passed with something they were carrying?

Oh dear, it looks to me like it was someone who knew what they were doing! Has it been taken Kjkav or was it left behind?
