Can anyone identify this plant for me? It has furry leaves and the plant it was taken from was flowering now, with blue flowers that reminded me slightly of alliums only not a full ball shape, if that makes sense. It was about two feet tall and of a spreading habit. Any ideas?

Thank you so much Seaburngirl! A quick google for images, and the first image that came up was my plant! Centaurea montana, it's a lovely flower. Hope it takes off! This small clump was kindly donated by my husband's aunty when I admired the plant in her garden.
