Help please..........I would like divide my Althstromeria up which has been kept in a pot since last year. There is a bit of top growth on it......So I am assuming it is the white fleshy bits of roots that you pot up.........many thanks in advance.............J.G.

Hi, these should be divided in very early spring, or in autumn, they are often sold bare root, so just divide the roots, they're hardy down to about minus 10c, Derek.

Just be sure that some of the crown with shoots is included with each division--bare roots don't sprout.
