When a Canary Palm has browning fronds at the end, can you prune just the brown parts or must you prune the complete frond? Hope my pic works.

You can prune off browning leaflets, but cutting the tip off the leaflet just causes it to keep browning down to the main stem (rachis) of the frond. With the frond shown above, I would just cut the rachis so that the last twelve leaflets go in the bin.
