Look up the Dragonfly? as they dance around my garden and especially the pond

Sounds like gnats. Their dance is a dance of joy and great to watch.

We have had clouds of them in our garden this year. They are a bit like those starling flights. Sudden shifts and whirls, then not visible. They part company as you walk though them, do not bite, and are so tiny too...amazing.
