Frost has seared my standard fuschias. Should I compost them or if I trim them is there a chance of revival? Hopeful

It is difficult to get standards to survive frosts. Try a little nick high on the standard stem and see if there is any green underneath. If it is green high up, try the side shoots. If they are brown the top is dead. Low down on the stem, if green, it is up to you to if you water and feed to see if any growth happens. I have Happy wedding day with 2 shoots about 4 inches up a 1 inch thick stem. I value it enough to keep it going, but it may not make it back to being a standard again.
