I have outdoor garden on a rooftop. When it rains the water collects under the decking and the wood and dries up over time, however the wood and decking rots and starts to smell. There is no drainage and I can't put any in. Is there anything I can put under the wood and decking that would soak up the water and prevent the wood from rotting and smelling over time? Something that would soak up the water and allow it to dry without rotting the wood? Thanks

Great friend of mine has had the same issues (14th floor in London). He tried wood under the decking boards but that did not work. Eventually he had the gradient altered towards the drain and that solved the drainage issues. It was not that expensive.
