Ther Japanese acers are hardy to cold temperatures but don't like to be in cold winds.

Hi Kriywan and welcome to GoY. Acers are all, to my knowledge, deciduous, i.e. lose their leaves in winter. The Acer family is huge from Canadian Maples to the cut leaved Japanese Acers. The Japanese Acers survive without any problem in our garden in the north of Scotland just make sure they are not planted in a windy position - they also like semi shade.

How do I say thanks?
