Climbing rose planted 4 days ago is wilting on new growth. Do I clip this off?

I suspect the intense heat Friday through till Monday might be the explanation - if it is, the plant should have recovered somewhat by now, but Spritz's point about watering is still crucial - should have been given a couple of gallons at planting time, and a thorough soaking every 2 days after all that heat (which thankfully has now passed).

It shouldn't be wilting if you're watering it enough - in this weather, every day probably. I'm puzzled why it's wilting otherwise, but if you cut off shoots, you won't get flowers, so you need to find out why it IS so sad. Was the rootball dry when you planted it? It may not have soaked up enough water.
Another thought - was it pot-bound? The only answer to that is to dig it up, untangle the roots, soak it in a bucket of water for several hours and replant it.
