My current bushes are covered in ants is their an ecological way of getting rid of them and do i need to ?
Ants usually mean that the plant has an infestation of aphids. The ants milk them for their sticky 'honeydew' secretions. Spray for the aphids (they are probably on the underside of the leaves) and the ants will go away.
