I am growing potatoes in grow bags next to a bed of shallots (in between the rows are radishes)which also has an miniature apple tree in it. I still have space in this bed so what else can i grow in this bed without causing problems for my potatoes and shallots?

For your spare space you could try some green salad like rocket or lettuce. Garlic. Beetroot.

The potatoes are in bags about a couple of feet away from the bed. Just want to make the most of my limited space. So don't want to leave large areas unused. Are potatoes ok if they're in bags a couple of feet away from a bed that contains carrots, shallots and radishes? Does this arrangement have all the makings if good companion planting?
