I bought some Poeney seeds from a well known garden in Co Offaly in Ireland. While advised to just sow them in pots and leave outdoors to root, I brought them into my cold utility room and while delighted that about 6 have appeared but a few are very leggy - about 6 ins in height. What should I do now? Puzzled Guest.

24tipp it 'can't' be too cold for them! Your starting them off in your cold utility room has made them lax and leggy. Some of the foliage may well die back but they will be fine.

Put them outside, as advised. They need more light.
