Can I grow a honeysuckle to climb up the trunk of a laburnum tree?

Answers

Yes, but I hope the Laburnum is mature. Dig a hole about 2-3 feet away from the base of the tree and add some compost and bonemeal. Plant the honeysuckle at 45 degree angle leaning towards the tree. Put in a cane for the plant to be trained along til it reaches the tree. Water well for the whole of this summer, even if it rains.
