Does anyone know what this is? It likes to trail over the edge of my sink and is very hardy. someone suggested it couldbe a lysymachia. I am non the wiser but was advised to post it hereithe hope someone knows and might have one too

Whatever it is, it's not Lysimachia. Its very attractive - how tall does it get and how long is it in flower?

lysimachia procumbens, just googled it, matt forming herbaceous perennial

Yep, Daylily's spot on - I should have said it's not Lysimachia punctata, lol! I really like this plant, never seen it before.

alexander is a variagated form of L punctata.

Thanks folks yes it is matt forming and flowers all summer, so it must be the Lysimachia Procumbens. Can't remember where I got it from a few years ago but I think I will soon have it all over my garden as it is very easy to grow, survives the winter but is not invasive. Glad you like it. Have planted gazinnias (for the first time) in the sink to provide a yellow/orange/red display but I hope they don't swamp this plant, as I am not sure how tall they are going to grow

Yes it could be Lysimachia punctata alexander, not 100% though.
