Yes its a Solanum Crispum Glasnevin the blue/lilac flower - i saw it once in a garden centre - where they had turned it into a standard and used two of the stems and twisted them - looked really good - anyway ive bought one now - so hopefully weekend going to give it a go!

OK - if it's a young and flexible one, that 'should' work, and I hope it does! Good luck with it...:-)))
The reason I was dubious was because my plant stems tend to be brittle, as it's definitely not young any longer! lol.

Why would you want to? You haven't told us which Solanum - that's an important fact to know, as S. crispum would be impossible to train in this way, while it 'might' be possible to do it with S. laxum....but I'd still like to ask you why!
