Hi! Please find attached 2 pics of our sad photinia. You can see it is wilting, but no leaf drop. We have scraped the trunk a little and this appears to be green and quite moist. We don't know how old it is as it was there when we moved in 8 years ago. Is it now beyond saving? We'd like to know for sure before we take the saw to it! Very many thanks Keith Goodfellow

Do you live in a part of the country (particularly the west) that has been flooded, even if your own garden didn't flood? It looks remarkably like root rot might be the problem, and photinias are susceptible if they're not in well drained soil, so a very wet winter might cause this.
