Planted 6 box woods last Fall and they lasted all winter staying green. In the last 6 weeks they started to turn pale straw color and I assume they are dying. I noticed that it is extremely wet were I planted them; could that be the cause. They get hours of sunlight in my front yard.

Yes if the soil is water logged then the roots will have died and then the rest of the plant will fail too. You could lift dig in grit and then replant and see if they recover.
