Could that be a willow?

I did, actually, did a bit of gardening! Well, think I'm going to have to concede defeat on these, certainly on the tree like one, no idea. As for the little flowers, how big is the plant they're growing on, and are the leaves I can see in this pic the leaves of the same plant, or are the flowers just growing up through those leaves?

the bottom one looks like a Phlox sublata.
The tree does look like willow or even an aspen.

Indeed, the tree looks very like a young Salix fragilis.

Ah well there you go then, sorted!
