Appeared in my garden last year... ... and I have quite a few more this year, without knowing the name of this daisy.
Can you help, please?

Could it be a perennial Bidens?

No idea, but it's pretty & I'd be happy to have it appear in my garden!

Yes, it could be a bidens [bidens alba with traces of yellow? Hope is not blackjacks!...].
Thanks a lot.

Could it be a coreopsis? How big is the flower?

Went outside to measure it: 5 centimetres, 2 inches in diameter - not a big flower at all.

Coreopsis was my first thought

size is about right for one of the coreopsis species. It has the common name of Tickseed here in Britain. What is the botanical name of Blackjacks?

Bidens pilosa L. - but its flower is even smaller than this in my garden, and this one does not have the nasty needles that grab your clothes and pierce you.
