Our broad bean flowers seem to be turning blackish and falling off, leaving a little stalk behind - no possibliity of any beans. Why should this be?

Maybe they aren't being pollianated? The plants should keep producing flowers until they succeed. Give them a feed of tomato food to help them produce more flowers.
