The roots are in the trunk, if you've got green at the top its probably alive.

I would leave it for a while Fish, you never know.. I had new fronds in August once.. I must add tho, there were already 9/10 fully grown leave's already there..

You should be able to push it over with a good shove - otherwise dig it out, should be easy.
