My Eunymous plants are seemingly dead due to a very cold Ohio winter. They are eleven years old, are foundation plants and were very healthy and beautiful before the really awful winter. Is there a chance the roots lived, do you think?

Hi Esb and welcome to GoY… the only way you'll find out if they've survived is to leave them alone for a couple of months and see if there is any regrowth.

If the Euonymus which have died were evergreen, fortunei varieties, they're likely dead. If they were deciduous varieties, give them some time - the roots may have survived.
