These are two bulbs which I bought today for a colocasia...there is very little info on the packaging, but there are planting instructions..in soil. I want to grow these in my pond...should I pot them and put them in the pond after they begin to grow? or can I pot them up and put the pot directly into the pond? Will a gallon pot be ok? should I buy a special water plant soil mix?
Any suggestions?

Thanks Bamboo.... I'm glad you saw my question. I know there are many different var's... and almost bought a small one which was being sold as a water plant!!

This isn't a pond plant, its a marginal pond plant, meaning it likes soil which is moist all the time, not actually to be grown in water, which is why the instructions for planting are for soil.
