why are leaves falling of my photinia

Answers

If it's the big, old, dark red ones, that's normal. As the plant starts to get the benefit of its new leaves, it sheds the oldest proportion, often starting in late winter and carrying on until early summer.
If you're losing the new soft bronzey-red growth, that would be a problem.
