I think I have dug up a black truffle. Can you tell me if they grow in this country.

Yes. I think they live in association with trees such as Hazelnuts and grow on their roots.

Oh goodie....got any left!!!!! We have a hazel, but no truffles so far.

You can buy Hazelnuts from some suppliers with their roots already inoculated with Truffles.
