During hot weather do you water it regularly?

I do and I have tried my best and spending a lot of money to feed and weed:

I can see the yellow patches, maybe try sowing new grass seed in patches, mine is patchy and horrible to be honest! but i recently added to my lawn and i used Wilko value grass seed and that has come up so nice and lush! Regular mowing even during winter and autumn also helps to keep it nice. I'm sure others will be able to help as well. Also you have a lovely garden :)

I don't suppose you have a do do you? Dog urine causes yellow patches. Perhaps it would be worth trying to contact a local rep of the firm Green thumb? They did wonders for a poor one we inherited - they do nothing but look after lawns.

Thank you for your suggestions . I will contact green thumb ,if they are affordable I will take their help.

They aren't cheap and they will hope to enroll you in their care scheme where they visit several times a year but you don't have to join it.

Now this is really going to open up a can of worms,but here goes..My last job before I retired 3 years ago was maintenance man for a 5-a-side football club.I have always had grass in the garden but I am afraid grass and dogs do not mix,also we have had to go on a water meter so things were looking not nice,anyway some pitches had to be replaced so I asked if I could have some and was told ,help yourself so I did,and now it is all over my garden(see my photo) All the green you see is Astro turf,no maintenance whatsoever,just a brush over.Neighbours have also had it put in their garden and are very pleased,yes it was expensive for them but it is a one off payment. ,no watering,no maintenance,no problems just permanently green,regards kerryvw. ps,also if you move ,take it with you.
