Thankyou Myron came across 1 on our long bike ride today so went back and bought it.
It's soaking overnight before planting.

Yes! Just about any cherry tree can be grown as a dwarf. The cherry variety that is desired is grafted onto a dwarf rootstock and this keeps the tree small.
There are many varieties of cherry, so just look up which one suits your needs and I'm sure that a nursery would sell it as a dwarf variety.
