My Wisteria ( one plant , no grafting ) has White and Purple flowers .
How come and how unusual is this ... ? ( the plant is about 10 years old and I have never noticed this before )

The plant probably has genes for both colors. If so, you will find the phenotypic (outward) expression of that gene combination-in this case the color white- on individual branches and not both colors on the same branch. To have both colors on the same branch would be a rare gift of nature to you indeed. These genetic combinations and expressions can occur at any time during the plants lifetime. In any case this is not a very common occurrence - enjoy!
