my 2 week old mature aquilegias bought from a garden centre look as though they are dying ,the leaves are now turning black. What's wrong ? i have other healthy established plants of the same species which are flourishing ?

Return them to the garden centre, if you can, but it might be that either you've watered insufficiently, or they've been caught by some colder weather than they've been used to if they were under shelter when you bought them and not standing outside in the open.
