Hi! What to do to save them?

Answers

Have you had drought or cold or wet, the lawn looks patchy too. I'm not sure what you can do when they have gone so brown, sorry not to help.

Check for cypress aphid and if its present, treat with an appropriate spray - not sure what's available where you are. Otherwise, you haven't said how long they've been in the ground, but could they have suffered from drought since they were planted?

As Pam said, the ground looks quite dry, so I would start by giving them a prolonged watering to get the water down to the roots and see what happens.

Strong winds can do this as well. I have seen some recover from wind damage with time.

Mme is this a recent landscaping job?, have they been put in recently and whats the ground like?, whats the weather been like ? all important factors also is it just the one or are they all starting to die back, other possible causes could be the conifer aphid, check for sooty mould, or scale.

We did a new landscape last Sommer so there is a lot of new ground and then we planned them we were putting a lot of water for 2 months. Winter was cold and we had a lot of snow... they were green when spring started, but now they look bad. I start giving them a water and some fertilizer, hope we can save them.

I assume planned is a typo and you meant to say you PLANTED them last summer? If this is the case and the winter was bad then like most plants in a similar situation they could have suffered some stress.

You have done the right thing by watering and feeding them and I'm sure that given time to adjust they should survive ok.

What part of the US are you from?
