Last month a large potato started to root in the back of the cupboard. My young grandson wanted to plant it in the garden. I now has shoots about a foot tall. Will we be able to harvest any edible spuds from it. Thanks

you can cut the spud up if its big leaving shoots on each piece you cut and youl get even more spuds out of it .

yes I have also let my girls plant the odd spud from the veg cupboard. they will be the same variety that you originally bought.
