Malus is the genus that Apples belong to and it includes the domestic apple (including cooking, dessert and cider amongst it's varieties) plus quite a few crab apples (including wild species apples and first and second generation hybrid crab apples).
Any chance of a close up of the flowers with a leaf shot?
