when do i lift my tulip and daffodil bulbs

Answers

You don't. Just plant over them - they'll be fine and come up next year provided you kept the leaves on when the flowers had finished. A bit of plant food, and some water in dry weather helps if you supply them before the leaves have died off.

Certainly the Daffodils are perfectly happy to be left well alone. Tulips, especially on heavier soils may well be best lifted and stored until February/March when they can be replanted.

Wait 6 weeks after flowering before lifting them though, so the goodness goes back in the plant then they should flower next year.

How do I say thanks?
