I have a variagated holly , potted, about 4 years old. It has always been healthy and has given much pleasure all year round> This year it has lost almot all of it's leaves and I fear I may lose it. Can you suggest what I should do PLEASE??

If you haven't repotted in that time, it's entirely possible its more than outgrown its container, and is now very cramped at the roots, making it impossible for the plant to get enough moisture. Turn it out and check - bigger pot or in the garden.
