Hello :)
First post (of many, I imagine) on the question section. 99% of what I have in my garden is a mystery to me as it was all inherited from the previous home owner and I have no knowledge or skills in gardening.
I'm here to learn and hope some of the expertise on the site will rub off on me.
I've just been out in the garden taking my first lot of photos and this one was first off the camera so it's a good place to start.
Can anyone tell me what flower this is, please? It has a spread of about 50cm and is about 20cm high at the moment.

Thank you so much. I've updated my garden page with my first identified plant :)
Thanks for the welcome also!

Thanks. I've got some more to identify so I'll add them a few at a time.

I have this in my garden too. Once the flowers have finished I cut the plant back to a few inches and it flowers again in september.

Oh, thanks for the info, I'll give that a try when the flowers go.

There are so many similar blue ones - some of them seem to go on all summer.

Welcome to GoY... it's a Geranium, possibly Geranium Johnson's Blue, but could be one of many blue varieties available. This plant is not related to what are commonly called geraniums, the summer bedding plant - their botanical name is actually Pelargonium, and true Geraniums like yours are commonly known as Cranesbills.
