They produce a branched spray of tiny white flowers with a lovely scent (smell it). These are followed by very small white berries with a few small black seeds inside. Cordylines branch after flowering so once the flower spike dies off (you could remove it now if you want) cut it back to the foliage. Next year you will notice two, three or maybe four new rosettes of leaves emerging from just below where the flower spike emerged. These will each develop into a separate branch. Quite normal.
