I have a beautiful rhododendron with lovely pink flowers but this year the flowers started to bloom and suddenly drooped and now the whole bush looks like it has died. I also have a clematis growing in the same plot spreading throughout the plant and this is still healthy and flowering beautifully. Is there anything I can do?

Difficult to say without an inspection which is impossible of course.
Check the base of the plant just below the soil. Is the bark still intact? Are there any notches out of the edges of the leaves? Rhododendrons are relatively shallow rooted with very fine roots and if they endure a long dry period they can fail.
