Is this unusual the dimensions are perfect half and half?

not that unusual but its caused when the flower is in the earliest stage of development. the pigment in one cell doesn't form but does in its neighbour. then as they divide the numbers increase but then half has pigment the other half not.
all the flowers from that stem may well be the same.
