Cordyline australis does it flower or go to seed

Answers

Yes, it flowers, usually a large yellow sort of cluster which comes to a point, then they sometimes produce seed.

Mine didn't flower until it was 12ft tall, the flowers were a cream colour on long spikes, followed later by small berries which the starlings loved.

Mine's in flower....huge clusters of small, white, scented flowers.

the scent can vary, sometimes it can smell very sweet, other times it can smell like a public gents toilet !!!!!

Well that's interesting, Badfish - the cordyline in my son's garden (now 12 feet high) currently has yellow flowers, just like a palm, though now I think about it, another one I know of does indeed have white flowers. I hadn't thought about that before...

A potted cordyline of mine flowered in late summer and I'll never forget sitting outside on Christmas day watching a flock of Long-Tailed Tits feeding on the berries. Bliss.
The stem was about 4 feet tall.
