Ailing trees! Not sure what type of tree this is - was planted by the birds. We have two of them. Very suddenly, in the last couple of weeks they have started to shed leaves and are looking decidedly unwell. Any ideas what the problem is? And what type of tree it is? Thanks.

Thanks for that. Is it curable?

It is difficult once they are well established. You will need a tree expert to find out what type of mite is infesting your trees for a miticide will have to be used and not all miticides are effective for every type of mite. Good Luck!

I think I see curling and clumping of the leaves with what appears to be a fine webbing enveloping them. This is indicative of a spider mite infestation.
