Hi - I'm interested in buying a soaker hose to go around my garden - it's 14 m long and 5m wide. I want to keep the beds watered on each side of this rectangle and across the width at the end of the garden. The bottom width is grass which my decking goes straight on to.
One section of three metres is along a concrete area so this doesn't need to be watered.
Can anyone give advice on:
can I attach a non-soaker section? The concrete area doesn't need water but the sections before and after it do.
does the hose go right round the garden and then there's some kind of plug at the end? If not, how do you end a hose run?
Is the pressure from the tap enough to reach round a garden this size?
can anyone recommend a company online which sells the equipment required for what I've described?
Thanks very much

I've just bought a lay-flat drip hose (goes on top of the soil) and a leaky pipe hose (to bury) from Wilkinsons/Wilco, for what I thought were very fair prices.
Don't know how they compare to 'proper' suppliers' prices.
And to connect, I simply bought a male-to-male connector from the local hardware shop.

Also known as 'leaky pipe' - two companies on line, one also gives out advice, and for all I know, both do - www.waterirrigation.co.uk is the one I've spoken to in the past for advice, and the other one is www.easywatering.co.uk. Both have phone numbers listed on their websites. It's a bit of a complicated business, you need various connectors and end stops, so have a chat with whichever of those seems to be the most helpful.
There is one drawback to consider though - in areas where you may want to dig over and possibly replant, it is awfully difficult to avoid digging up the leaky pipe, or sticking your fork through it...
