Hi all, another question, can someone tell me the right way to remove old Lupin flowers. You might find this a strange question but I removed old flowers as they started seeding last year and I noticed there is a hollow tube left. The rain seemed to fill this tube and within a few weeks my Lupin died. I have a number of Lupins that need the old flowers removing and I wondered if there was a right way to do this. Many thanks in advance.

Best deadheaded as the last few flowers on the stem at the top are still present, because the seed pods are already forming at the base by then. Cut the stem down to the leaves, where it originates from.

How do I say thanks?
