I have a very old apple tree in my garden which had a huge crop of apples last year. This year all the leaves are falling off and I am wondering if I can save it or whether it had its last throws of life last year. I attach a photo of a leaf. Thanks for your help

Well, it might have had a last flourish, they sometimes do when there's something wrong. Check the trunk, particularly at the base, and branches, all over to see if you can find anything - soft soggy areas, infestation of any kind.
