my dog has ruined our lawn,leaving it to look like the surface of the moon. i intend to returf parts of it. as the ground has absorbed dog wee i think that the turf will not take. as an oap its not feasable to remove the top layer of soil. does anyone reccomend something to spray onto the bare soil to compensate for this?

I'm not sure there is a product that you can apply that would help,
but I would suggest watering really well to dilute as much as possible before
replanting turf. There is a product on the market that you can add to dogs drinking water (with no harm to the animal), this neutralises the dogs pee so no more bare patches!
