I have a hot banana chilli plant growing my greenhouse, I've noticed that the peppers when growing have started to go a brown colour on one side. I have had a fair number of aphids attach themselves to the plant as well as the others in the greenhouse recently so I have had to use a bug killer on them.
Will I have to get rid of the plant if any of the other peppers display the brownish markings.

it is just a normal shop bought bug killer, it isn't organic so I sprayed as much of it away from the chillis

Hmm...well, to expand, was it an aerosol spray can, or a water-based pump spray? Did it say "For Vegetables" on the label?
Also, some varieties of banana pepper develop a kind of purplish stain on the sunny side of the fruit, so it may be completely normal.

What kind of insecticide, Maddib? If an alcohol or oil based aerosol, it may have just burned the fruit, and future ones will be unaffected.
